The first part about why you want to be a teacher - very inspiring. I feel exactly the same way! The second part about the fire drill story - ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!! I am taking a technology class where we are required to listen to a certain amount of podcasts every week. Most of them are interesting, but this one was entertaining as well! Thanks for the laugh!

Interesting....who has editorial rights?

I always thought it would be fun to have "Teacher Talk" (son of "Car Talk") but maybe a 2-minute limit is a good thing!

Excellent introduction. Wonderful example of how people can have misconceptions without realizing it at all. Love the accent. I like how you share you interest in the views of others. I think sometimes as educators, we are so conditioned to being the "giver" of information and facts, we forget that we must take time to allow new information to come to us. If you are ever in Texas, stop by and we will have a spot of tea!

Dan,

Thanks for posting my two minute rant. Only 13 minutes left of my fifteen minutes of fame! Everybody needs to tell their friends about what Dan is doing. I have gained so much from listening to your podcasts and corresponding with you. Sincerely,
