Please note: the 2008 round of awards have been selected. You can find the results here.
It’s time once again to celebrate all the great work that is happening in student and teacher created podcasts with the 2008 KidCast Podcasting Awards. This year we are shaking up the process a little bit. The truth is that the awards have been evolving each year as this technology grows and becomes more integrated into the learning process.

I wanted to come up something that helped to promote sustained academic conversations through podcasting; not simply producing isolated episodes. I also wanted to extend the entry period. - For those schools who are on summer break, this gives you time and a nice target to get something started right off the bat next year.
The end result is a list of exemplary podcasts that really get to the heart of what we are trying to accomplish… getting students to think and explore important ideas and concepts and channel their results into a show in which others can benefit.
